Incomplete Grade Policy
As a busy soldier student, we understand and respect that duty may call you away from your studies. That’s why we hold an Incomplete Grade Policy that allows instructors to assign you an Incomplete (I) grade at his or her discretion if you are otherwise passing a course but cannot complete all assignments because of extenuating circumstances.
An “I” grade is not assigned automatically. Rather, it is to be mutually agreed upon between the instructor and the student by identifying in writing the specific course requirements not yet met and the specific date these requirements will be satisfied.
Within 30 days of the beginning of the following trimester, an instructor who has assigned a grade of "I" must submit a Grade Change Form to the Registrar's Office. Otherwise, the "I" grade will revert to a failing grade for the course.
Note: the GoArmyEd Program allows up to 120 days for an incomplete grade to be updated for their records. An “I” grade may still revert to a failing grade, but will be changed if completion falls within 120 days after the course end date.
